Hennagara Lake | Must Visit Place in Bangalore

Tired of Netflix? Feeling to go for a quick ride to a very nearby destination near Bangalore or rather a little outskirts of Bangalore? Does the Sunset view alongside a filled water lake animate you? Does the Sunset reflection on the lake water bring positive vibes to you? Yes? Well, The Hennagara Lake is the place for you then. Read on…

Sunset is proof that ending can often be beautiful too.

Sunsets are romantic, inspiring and Instagramable, yet most of us only make time for this special experience when we are on vacation. You do not need to be in an exotic place, free of obligations, to enjoy the calming, beautiful, and life-changing moments of a Sunset.

Alone or with friends, just go to this place that I am talking about and witness the beautiful orange reflection on the lake water.

Before I take you to the beautiful Hennagara lake through this article, let me show you some photos that I shot during one of the Bangalore Bikers offline meet-ups. This would be a perfect place for an Opacarophile like me.

I usually do not prefer to sit at home at free time. Exploring places is a serious addiction to me. Being a passionate biker and photographer I am always in search of unknown places around me. Found this Hennagara Lake from one of such random exploration rides. Whenever I come across any such beautiful place, I feel excited to take my friends there. That’s how we planned a meet-up there and all of us just loved the place.

How to Reach Hennagara Lake?

Hennagara lake is just 20 km from Silkboard junction. It’s a bit tricky to find the exact spot on the map. If you directly search by “Hennagara Lake”, the map will guide you to the other side from where you won’t get the beautiful sunset view. Next to this lake, there is a temple called Shri Nageshwara Swamy Temple. So on google map search by “Shri Nageshwara Swamy Temple”. Select the one that shows the location name as Rajapura. You can follow the direction on the map to this spot. The sunset view from this spot is just astounding.

The perfect time to visit this place is late afternoon till the sun goes down. Do not stay there alone after Sunset just to be on the safer side.

What are you waiting for?
Ahh.. lockdown. After the lockdown, just take your bike out and enjoy your evening at Hennagara Lake.

If this article helped you to find this place, please comment on this article so that we know it really helped others.

Cheers my friends!
